Introduction

My fitness journey has been a rollercoaster, filled with highs and lows. I've had moments of dedication and consistency, followed by periods when I fell off the fitness wagon. My history includes losing and regaining weight repeatedly, and at one point, I even reached 300 pounds. Stress often got the better of me, causing me to abandon exercise and neglect my diet. The biggest challenges came during my two pregnancies. I allowed myself to let go, gained a significant amount of weight, and stopped being physically active. However, once my husband and I decided we were finished having children, I realized I had run out of excuses. It was time to prioritize my health and well-being.

The Keto Diet

I allowed myself to let go, gained a significant amount of weight, and stopped being physically active. However, once my husband and I decided we were finished having children, I realized I had run out of excuses. It was time to prioritize my health and well-being. About a year and a half ago, I started researching ways to shed the post-pregnancy weight. That's when I stumbled upon the keto diet, which proved effective for weight loss.

Falling in Love with Lifting

Around the same time, I developed an interest in weightlifting and discovered the StrongLifts 5x5 strength-training program. It was my initiation into the world of lifting, my first time bench-pressing, deadlifting, and more. I instantly fell in love with it. As I progressed, I explored more advanced lifting programs. In July 2018, I was introduced to Jim Stoppani and the JYM Army by a woman named Debbie Stevens. I was still following the keto diet at that time. I began my journey with the 4-Week Full-Body Burn on JimStoppani.com.

From there, I moved on to the Super-Man Remastered Challenge, followed by part of the Super Shredded 8 program before embarking on the 2019 New Year's Challenge. Now, I find myself in week 4 of Undulating Mass. Along the way, I incorporated cardio acceleration into my lifting routine, which has been a game-changer for me – something I never imagined I could do. My supplement regimen also evolved. It began with Pre JYM, then Pro JYM. Now, I incorporate Pre JYM, Pro JYM, and Post JYM around my workouts.

Body Transformation

Since July 2018 and commencing the Train With Jim programs, I've witnessed a remarkable transformation in my body's shape and composition. This is truly exciting for someone like me, at the age of 44, who previously spent countless hours each week doing cardio with minimal results. I've broken free from being solely fixated on the scale. While I acknowledge the importance of monitoring my weight, I now pay equal attention to progress pictures and how I feel in my clothes. I am thrilled with the improvements I've seen in my physique and body composition. I remain a staunch advocate of the low-carb/keto diet. It helped me mend my relationship with food and exposed how I had been using it to cope with stress – my most significant obstacle in this journey. I believe it's something I'll always need to be mindful of. Simultaneously, I'm experimenting with Jim's carb cycling diet to explore its potential benefits. My current plans involve continuing to train intelligently, eat nutritiously, and supplement effectively. This entails sticking with the "Train With Jim programs" and, of course, JYM supplements.

Embracing a New Perspective

Every week, I eagerly anticipate seeing my progress. I'm excited to discover the programs and challenges that Jim will introduce next! I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Jim Stoppani and the JYM Army for welcoming me with open arms. Your inclusivity and unwavering support have meant the world to me.
