Merry Christmas to my JYM Girls and JYM Army! We’ve all been working our glutes off, so it’s time to enjoy some tasty holiday feasts and treats! I want to share a couple delicious recipes that you can make if you’re the one stuck cooking for the family!
Recipe #1: Crockpot Beef Stew
For this beef stew, feel free to use whatever stew meat you like, and you can double or triple the recipe if needed. You can also add some type of bean if you want, as well. This makes for a great dinner for Christmas or any other time, and it’s so easy to make! Enjoy!
1½ pounds of Laura’s Lean Beef Stew Meat
1½ cups of beef broth
3 stalk of celery
2 sweet potatoes (or regular potatoes)
2 garlic gloves, minced
½ tsp pepper
¼ tsp salt
Dash of cayenne pepper
Side of bread for sopping up that delicious broth
Mix and set the Crockpot on low for 12 hours and BOOM – done!.
Who cares? Just enjoy!
Recipe #2: No-Bake Peanut Butter & Nutella Pie
My fellow lifters know all too well the obsession with peanut butter that comes along with intense lifting sessions. It’s a common side effect that can’t be stopped. So, I have a peanut butter pie recipe to feed your obsession. 😛
1 8-ounce package of cream cheese
1 cup of sugar (Yes, SUGAR! It’s Christmas – just enjoy!)
1/2 cup of peanut butter of your choice (creamy or crunchy)
½ cup of Nutella
1/3 cup of milk (can sub with almond milk, coconut milk, etc.)
8 ounces of Cool Whip
1 graham cracker pie crust
Mix all of the ingredients together and place in pie crust. Chill for at least an hour. Serve and top with peanut butter cups, sprinkles, crushed Oreos, or whatever else your heart desires!
It doesn’t count because it’s Christmas! Enjoy!!!
